Some screenshots attached and any thoughts would be welcome. I am wondering (but there may be another answer) that Apple are restricting me to just SD as my display on my 2017 MacBook Air is 1440 x 900. So I downloaded one episode and realised that no matter what I did I couldn't get the HD version to either play or download. When I started watching these I wasn't blown away with the quality and realised from looking at my library that I seemed to be looking at the SD version. You'll see from the screenshots of just one episode that the SD version is 667 mb and the HD (1080) is 1.7mb. I originally had some VHS tapes of one of my all-time favourite TV shows Babylon 5 which were replaced by DVDs and now iTunes has issued the re-mastered version of all seasons which I recently bought. I've been a sci-fi fan for over 60 years and have replaced older formats of favourite films and TV with newer (generally better) versions as time goes by.
